The Ready When the Time Comes partnership between the American Red Cross and Grainger has been selected as one of five finalists for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Business Civic Leadership Center (BCLC) 2011 Partnership Award. The American Red Cross in the National Capital Region has a robust program with RWTC.

The winner is selected by an online vote that is open to Red Crossers and the public from September 19 through October 28.

The Partnership Award, one of four Corporate Citizenship awards from the BCLC, honors a company and a charitable organization that have exemplified success working together to address an important social issue. W.W. Grainger Inc. is the founding sponsor of the Ready When the Time Comes program, in which employees of participating companies and organizations are trained as Red Cross disaster volunteers to serve in an emergency.
