What if your loved one needed blood and there wasn't any? The Red Cross is critically low on blood. Our goal is to have at least a five- to seven-day supply of blood available 24/7. As of July 14, 2008, the Red Cross had only a quarter of a day's supply of B- blood, a half day's supply of O-, and slightly less than a day's supply of O positive.
