Hurricane Preparedness

Hurricane season begins June 1st - Are You Ready?

National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reminds everyone of Hurricane Preparedness Week May 24th - 30th.

American Red Cross urges people, especially those who live in areas most susceptible to hurricanes, to learn more about what to expect, helping your family and having an evacuation plan.

Know the difference between a Hurricane Watch and a Hurricane Warning.

Hurricane Watch indicates that hurricane conditions are a threat within 36 hours.

Hurricane Warning indicates that hurricane conditions are expected within 24 hours.

Make sure to review your hurricane plans, keep informed and be ready to respond accordingly.
