Special Event, April 2009 Celebrating Those Who Serve Our Community, Our Nation, Our World, Our Red Cross On April 22, 2009, the American Red Cross of the National Capital Area hosted a special reception celebrating those who serve our community, our nation, our world, our Red Cross. This event honored key partners, current and past supporters, who generously volunteer their time and talents to help fulfill the Red Cross mission. Among special guests were the Honorable Frank Keating, the former Governor of Oklahoma, and his wife Cathy Keating, a founding and current member of our Chapter's Tiffany Circle. (Photo above.)
