Nancy Peery Marriott

Founding, Current and Lifetime Member

 

Nancy Peery Marriott was born in California and received a B.S. from the University of Utah. She has had a lifelong love of music, especially opera. She continued her vocal studies after graduation and, once her daughters left for college, she had more time to devote to her music.  She has performed at The Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap, Strathmore Hall, National Theatre, Boston’s Symphony Hall and with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in a live international broadcast and at local embassies. She has participated in the Alaska Summer Arts Festival for 20 years and performed in overseas programs in Israel and with the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria.

  

In addition to being active with her church, teaching junior high Sunday School and involvement with various community organizations, she is a past member of the board of the Washington Performing Arts Society, and is presently serving on the boards of the National Symphony Orchestra and First Media Corporation. She and her husband Richard have four daughters and 13 grandchildren with whom they spend time goig on various hiking and biking trips.
