Regina DeFrancisco

Mrs. DeFrancisco joined the National Capital Area Tiffany Circle following dual careers in Education and private industry. Her career started in education, teaching Fine Arts at every level from secondary school through adult education. She left the education field for a position with AT&T in New York where she was one of the first women in the New York area to enter the management program in the traditionally male area of field operations. She held several important field and staff assignments during the breakup of the Bell System, and she continued to mentor women hired into non-traditional jobs. 

She left AT&T in 1986 to raise her two daughters (now grown) and returned to her pursuit of the arts. She was a member and volunteer at the Somerset (NJ) Art Association and her work has been displayed in numerous art shows in the New Jersey area. Mrs. DeFrancisco has also been active in community affairs, serving on the boards of Covenant House, Catholic Social Services and the Loyola University Executive Council of Parents. She returned to her career in art education in 2001 at the Bernards Township School District, where, in addition to her regular duties, she devised an innovative art program for autistic children. 

Mrs. DeFrancisco again left her education career in late 2008 when she and her husband Jerry joined the Red Cross - Regina as a volunteer and Jerry as President, Humanitarian Services in Washington, D.C. She has also returned to her pursuit of the arts, as a member of the Art League of Alexandria, and her work has been displayed at shows in Alexandria. 

A graduate of the College Mt. St. Vincent in Riverdale, New York with a degree in Fine Arts, Mrs. DeFrancisco also holds a Masters in Fine Arts from Adelphi University. She resides in Alexandria with her husband, and frequently visits with her daughters who reside in Baltimore.
