Melissa Adamson joined Microsoft Corporation in 2001. She currently serves as the Director of Operations for Microsoft Federal. In this role she is responsible for overseeing the business management and operations for the Federal business. Prior to her role as Director of Federal Operations, Mrs. Adamson has held a variety of positions during her eight year tenure with the company, including Business Manager for both the Federal Civilian and Industry Unit businesses, World Wide and U.S. Public Sector Channel Development Manager and Microsoft Account Executive for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Mrs. Adamson worked in Government Affairs with a focus on healthcare for both Webber McGinn and Patton Boggs.  Mrs. Adamson started her career working on Capitol Hill for both the House Senate Finance Committee and the Ways and Means Health Subcommittee.

Mrs. Adamson holds a bachelor's degree in Communication for the American University where she graduated Cum Laude.  She is a member of the Red Cross Tiffany Circle and resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and daughter.
