Apartment Units Devastated by Fire in Silver Spring, MD

On May 2, 2009 in Silver Spring, MD, a devastating 15-unit apartment fire at the Ashford at Woodlake Apartments displaced 40 people and left 15 additional units without utilities. The apartment's management office provided shelter and the Red Cross provided cots, blankets, comfort kits and assisted with other immediate needs. All Red Cross help is made possible by volunteers and donations. Your Red Cross is prepared to answer the call for help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
