Health and Safety Education Classes
CPR/AED, First Aid, Aquatics and HIV/AIDS training courses
Each year, the National Capital Area Chapter trains tens of thousands of individuals in lifesaving skills such as CPR and first aid. We provide HIV/AIDS education and water safety training for people of all ages and babysitting training for teens ages 11-15.
Workplace Training Program
The American Red Cross is also committed to stressing the importance to businesses of having employees that are certified in lifesaving first aid, CPR, and automated external defibrillator (AED). Through our Workplace Training Program, health and safety instructors will come to your place of business with all necessary materials, to conduct training classes at your convenience.
Disaster Services Education
Each year, nationwide the American Red Cross responds immediately to more than 67,000 disasters. Disasters include hurricanes, floods, blizzards, tornadoes, hazardous materials spills, transportation accidents, explosives and other man-made disasters.
International Services
American Red Cross tracing or location services are provided to people in the community who have been separated from their relatives (citizens of other countries) as a result of war, civil disturbance, natural disaster, or changing world conditions over which an individual has no control.
